Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Healthcare is an area of prime concern at ADHPL. The Company is running a dispensary and provides health care facility to local people of the community along with free doctor’s consultation and free medicines.
ADHPL is providing employment opportunities to one member of each family from whom private land has been acquired. The company has made a huge investment through the PWD and some NGOs to provide potable water to the community. It has also constructed a Mahila Bhawan (Women’s Community Centre) at its site. To provide street lights, the company has undertaken electrification works for the villages in Prini, Shuru, Jagatsukh and Aleo. The Company is empowering women through “Women Sewing Training Centres” at Village Prini and nearby villages in Distt. Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.
In pursuance of its commitment to protect the environment, ADHPL has taken up various initiatives. The company conducts all its operations ensuring minimal impact on the environment. The project has been developed in accordance with environmental and social safeguard policies. The Company in coordination with the Forest Department has participated in afforestation drives and planted thousands of saplings during its period of operation.
The company has been sponsoring sports and cultural activities in order to offer entertainment to the local people. For the spiritual development of the people, the group has also been donating towards several religious festivals and temples.
ADHPL regards education as the backbone of a nation and takes various initiatives to impart quality education to the young generation. ADHPL has contributed generously for setting up a college in Haripur. The company has also helped in setting up of a number of schools to provide quality education to the children of the employees and the inhabitants of the surrounding areas. School bags and stationary items are provided on annual basis to the students studying in the nearby schools. The Company has assisted students to pursue higher education by providing scholarship and also empowered youth from the weaker section of the society by providing Industrial Technical Training that makes them self-employable. Honorariums are paid to the staff of the nearby schools.
The company is extending support to the nearby villages for cleaning, garbage collection and its transportation. The Company collects and transports garbage from project premises and nearby villages. Company also supports the local community for removal of dead animals and their burial in order to prevent spread of diseases in the villages.
